His characters are fleshy, interesting and alive. And as a side note, before his drawings I had no idea that Frankenstein's creature (a thing stitched together out of corpses) could be...well...hot =).monsterscholarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02876763575999057128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5112951555998191786.post-59926257166779164062009-05-20T09:36:25.900-04:002009-05-20T09:36:25.900-04:00One of the things I kick myself about to this day ...One of the things I kick myself about to this day is when one of my former editors suggested Ryan Sook for one of my projects and I said "no."

His sketches didn't seem suited to the projects, and with the samples I had I had no way of knowing whether he could draw backgrounds, which were important to the project.

Of course, about two weeks later I saw some of his other work and wondered why this work wasn't what was shown to me in the first place. It knocked my socks off and I knew he was the right guy.

I told him all this when I met him, (after apologizing profusely) and hope he and I get to work together in the future.

His artwork is really something special.John Rozumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03626209473214085436noreply@blogger.com
